Jaguar Chorale

The FMHS Jaguar Chorale is the varsity mixed choir and flagship choral ensemble at FMHS. Admission is by audition only and participation in voice lessons, All-Region, All-State, and Solo/Ensemble Contests are expected. The group sings a variety of music styles, from pop and jazz to concert literature. The group has won numerous UIL "Sweepstakes" Awards, as well as receiving performance honors in performances in New York, Breckenridge, Los Angeles and San Antonio.  The Jaguar Chorale has performed at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention (twice), as well as the Southwestern Division American Choral Directors Association Convention.  Choral works have been commissioned for the Jaguar Chorale by Donald Bailey, Dale Trumbore, Tim Takach, Paula Foley Tillen, and Joshua Shank. The Jaguar Chorale has performed at the State Capitol in Austin, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City, the WW II Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC, cathedrals in Salzburg, Austria, and Barcelona, Spain, St. Paul's in London, and the Vatican in Rome.
